Float fishing the Yellowstone River from a driftboat is undoubtedly the most productive, while stops along the way casting to rising fish is also a great favorite. Hatches throughout the spring and summer months provide great surface action and fish can also be taken subsurface year round.
There are alternate Blue Ribbon waters available during spring runoff and bad weather conditions. These rivers include the Madison, the Beaverhead, the Bighorn and the Missouri.
